Quality Challenge

Quality Challenge

The presence of remarked, reworked and counterfeit components in the electronic component supply chain has increased over the past five years at disturbing levels. These sub-standard parts have found their way into every distribution channel, including franchise, and the products of end-users. Through industry educational forums, such as the Counterfeit Components Avoidance Workshops, OEMs, CEMs, as well as franchise and independent distributors have recognized that all participants in the supply chain have an equal interest and responsibility in addressing this issue. Solutions aimed at preventing the introduction of sub-standard components into the supply chain through stringent vendor approval systems are having a positive impact on the industry. However, the complexity of the component source mechanism and determination of those engaged in fraudulent behavior necessitates the need for further assurances. Equality Process acts as both a deterrent to the initial introduction of sub-standard components into the supply chain and as a shield or firewall for your company.
